40,882 Rape Cases in 6 Years Nationwide: 19 Rapes Per Day, Says Daily Jugantor Report

Between 2019 and 2024, Bangladesh recorded 40,882 rape cases—averaging 19 cases per day—according to Police Headquarters. Children and teenage girls were the most affected, reports a private rights group.
