In June, online platforms emerged as the dominant source of telecom-related news coverage in Bangladesh, with Grameenphone leading across most media types. Grameenphone saw the highest overall media presence, with 156 online reports and 70 in print, although its visibility on TV and social platforms remained low. Banglalink followed with substantial online (109) and print (47) coverage but stood out on social media with notable activity on Facebook (11), LinkedIn (18), and YouTube (4)—the highest among all operators. Robi received moderate coverage, especially on TV (19), despite limited social media presence. Teletalk appeared almost exclusively on TV (19), with only a single online report and no presence on other platforms. The data indicates that while online media continues to dominate telecom news reporting, social media visibility varies significantly by operator, with Banglalink investing more in diversified platforms.
