Analysis of advertising on 35 Bangladeshi TV channels in September shows interesting patterns in TVC durations. In September, the total TVC durations across 35 Bangladeshi TV channels were highest on Thursday at 35,640 minutes, followed by Wednesday with 35,318 minutes and Tuesday with 35,234 minutes.
Sunday and Saturday recorded 34,939 minutes and 34,944 minutes respectively, while Friday had 34,700 minutes and Monday saw the lowest total at 34,578 minutes. These figures indicate that advertisers tend to schedule longer commercial breaks on Thursdays, whereas Fridays remain comparatively lighter in TVC activity.
Interestingly, the mid-month period (11–20 September) shows a noticeable dip in average daily ad duration compared to the first ten days. The average ad duration for 1–10 September was approximately 8,885 min/day, while for 11–20 September it dropped to 8,700 min/day, indicating lower ad activity in the mid-month.
