In February 2025, a total of 116,073 minutes of television commercials aired during news programs across 35 Bangladeshi TV channels, making it the most popular category for advertisers. Movies followed with 94,691 minutes, while serial dramas accounted for 16,980 minutes. Talk shows, musical programs, and sports programs also attracted significant ad time, ranging between 9,000 to 15,000 minutes. Documentary programs, cartoons, and religious programs had moderate TVC placements, while niche categories like business, agriculture, and science and technology received comparatively lower ad durations. The data highlights the dominance of news and entertainment in Bangladesh’s TV advertising landscape.
